Art Festival Entertainment
There was entertainment throughout the whole festival, you only had to walk a short distance to see or hear something new. This group called themselves "Simply Three" and they were playing a cool version of classical music. They were great.
The name of this group is "The Missing Parts" and they had a rather unusual and jazzy take on folk music. Click on the link for a YouTube segment.
This was one of the more unusual attractions, it was a group of circus-like performers doing fire-eating and juggling and this young lady who performed on a bed of nails. I recommend you not try that at home!
Now I've see a gut doing the bed of nails trick, he even did it with glass. Rather them than me
ReplyDeleteLooks like there was lots of great entertainment going on, the bed of nails looks a little painful though!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing missing for your photos is The Sound Of Music.
ReplyDeleteVery different Sharon!
ReplyDeleteThat last picture... ouch ouch ouch!
This was quite a festival, and I had to smile at the last photo. Different! Can't help but comment that music doesn't need anything to complete it. It's appreciation is historical and universal.
ReplyDeleteIt is unclear whether your advice not to try the activity shown in your last photo extends to the clothing, or was limited to the bed of nails.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if those are real nails in the last image?

Yikes, think I'll stick to photography
ReplyDeleteThe musicians are lovely, but the last shot is terrific!
ReplyDeleteShe's a brave woman! ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow that quite a selection of performers and I think everyone could find something that would appeal to them
ReplyDeleteYou can see a variety of things at the Tempe art fair, but the lady on the nails Surprising!
ReplyDeleteI could never grin and bear it like that woman on nails! She is one tough woman! Love the variety of performers in one go:)
ReplyDeleteI do love that festival. I always ended it with dinner at PF.Changs.
ReplyDeleteThe woman on the bed of nails sure is an attention getter!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the link to 'The Missing Parts' Sharon, goodness they really put everything into it don't they! Fantastic festival!
ReplyDeleteHave never seen a woman playing the fakir.
