So I didn't have high tea in London while I was there, I waited until I returned to Phoenix and had high tea with friends at the Phoenician Resort in Phoenix. It's believed to be the best high tea in the area. I haven't tried them all but it certainly is a great one with finger sandwiches, scones and then an array of sweet treats all with tea and champagne. It was a lovely pre-Thanksgiving treat.
Great shot, looks like everyone enjoyed their treat!
ReplyDeleteChampers for tea? That's a real high tea.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy tea but have never participate in a high tea occasion; perhaps I should remedy that.
ReplyDeleteMore than tea for two, I guess.
ReplyDeleteVery posh! Nice picture too.
ReplyDeleteHey, a very nice group of friends.
ReplyDeleteHigh tea is such a thrill!
ReplyDeleteI've never done a proper high tea, but there are places here that'll serve it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot. I will have to try this next time I am in town.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like great fun. SWMBO and I once enjoyed high tea at the Hotel Russell on Russell Square in London. A lovely experience.
ReplyDeleteYou do get around to the best places!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of tea at the Phoenecian is when the server, usually Wanda, comes around with the dessert tray and, as she does with each course, identifies each of the choices, followed by the phrase, "And if you can't decide which ones you want, you may have one of each."
ReplyDeleteMy next favorite part is when Julie askes for a little box to take the extra desserts home.
Definitely something I would have enjoyed. The company looks lovely too.
ReplyDeleteYou mean to say you did not have an English tea or even a cream tea, shame on you
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat! I am wondering about the coming desserts... And good company is such a plus.
ReplyDeleteLovely group portrait. And you look great, Sharon! :-)
