Basketball Season has started

Basketball season started this week and I've already been to two games thanks to my close friend Janet. We went on Wednesday night and Friday night and were thrilled to see the Suns win both nights.  As you can see from the photo above, I was taken by Gerald Green's 'spiffy' shoes on Wednesday night.  When Janet saw me taking this shot she told me that she had read that a few members of the team are shoe collectors and that one of them has over 1,000 pairs of shoes at home and over 300 at the gym.  Wow, I thought I was shoe collector but, I have nothing to compare with those amounts.

The Suns also have newly designed uniforms this year.  My verdict is still out on these.  They didn't wow me these first two games.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  This time I've found a hidden treasure in the state of Missouri.

  1. Wow! Cool shoes ... but they'd be better with a touch of RED in them, don't you think?!?!

  2. Nice shoes, seems like some of the players are very keen collectors of them too!

  5. I bet I could find several pairs of shoes for what he paid for that one pair.

  6. I like the first shot with a nice composition, reflections and the movement of the second foot.

  8. Would be fun to see the shoe collection. The new uniforms are kinda blah, no color.

  9. That second shot seems to show a suit-coated arm coming right out of the Portland player's stomach! Was this on Halloween? ;>

  10. Those shoes are AMAZING. (And the uniforms are blah.) Like Birdman, my pro team is the Celtics, who are "in transition" this year. I usually follow college basketball more closely.

  11. I will be sure not to mention these shoes to our oldest son living in CA and a big fan of the Suns but on the other hand he must already be aware of the whole thing :-)
