Chilis
I visited a local nursery Friday afternoon and discovered a lot more than just plants. They had antiques and ceramics and these chili ristras hanging from a tree. I'll share a few more photos from there over he next few days.
I LOVE ristras. Had one for years hanging in my kitchen but eventually discarded because they became faded. . .and so dusty!! Great photo, such vibrant colours.
These chili strings ("ristas," you tell me) are wonderfully colorful. They aren't available and would look weird in Connecticut and Florida, but they are perfect for Phoenix.
At first my eyes were tricked into believing they were growing in the tree. Silly me. :)

ReplyDeleteDon't you love when you get surprises like that Sharon! Looking forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteThe chiles do add a lot of color.
ReplyDeleteAmazingly rich colours!
ReplyDeleteGreat to look at, but too hot for my mild palate.
ReplyDeleteThey looks so pretty and add such great color where ever they are hung.
ReplyDeleteLove their gleaming red color.
