Phoenix Symphony

It was opening night at the Symphony last night and I accompanied Julie and Dave (Scottsdale Daily Photo & Tamarindo Costa Rica Daily Photo) to the event.  Dave is on the board for the symphony so the event included a special reception before the performance.  They did a spectacular job with Beethoven's Symphony No 9 with the very impressive help of the Phoenix Symphony Chorus.  It was fantastic.  So fantastic that it prompted at least an 8 minute standing ovation.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns.  This time I reach back to 1986.

  1. It was a spectacular concert, and I am glad that you could join us.

It was a fitting start to another great season for the Phoenix Symphony. Next weekend is a concert conducted by John Williams, with special guest Steven Spielberg (who grew up in Scottsdale.)

  8. The symphony plays in a fairly modern hall. They performed quite a crowd-pleaser to open the season.
