Another interesting thing I found on the slopes of South Mountain was this saguaro cactus burdened with an abundance of arms. The cactus is located in someone's yard and there was no way for me to get a photo without those wires. So, it's not the prettiest shot but, at least I get to show you this oddity.
A mutant cactus, great capture!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I feel that this cactus is giving me the finger? :)
ReplyDeleteIf this were a regular tree, someone would have pruned off some of the branches to thin it out, but of course there is no such thing as trimming a saguaro.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I wonder why that happened!
ReplyDeleteOver achiever.
ReplyDeleteThe comments above made me laugh Sharon..what can I add :))Even with all those arms it still looks like it's wearing a sombrero on top haha!
ReplyDeleteWow, this cactus has been working overtime!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell if it's hugging me or attacking me!
ReplyDeleteWow, like a totem!
ReplyDeleteI understand nothing about cactus, is this really so unusual?
I would have loved to see the mating dance!
ReplyDeleteThat's one prickly cactus.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteAndy's and Bruce's comments are pretty funny. The cactus reminds me of several of the Hindu god and goddesses with multiple arms.
ReplyDeletebeautiful cactus ! :)
ReplyDeleteThe number of arms must be one for the record book.
