How far away is the mountain, tricky to tell from the photo.
Great background indeed and it makes for a great photo too.
They must have had an even better view of the Thanksgiving helicopter rescues that Julie has been showing on here site than we did from our house.
Such an impressive backdrop Sharon, I wonder if they get so used to seeing this that they dont notice it, can't imagine that really.
I wonder, too, how far is the mountain. When I lived in Phoenix there weren't any houses close to Camelback. But what a beautiful sight.

Location, location, location!
To answer the distance question, this house is located south of Camelback Road and I'd guess it's about 1/2 mile from the base of the mountain.
You can sit on the patio and watch hikers walk along the camels back.
Nice place to live, very inviting.
That is exactly my mental image of a house in Phoenix!
