Will it, or won't it?

This building located in mid-town Phoenix has been sitting vacant for quite a while.  There is a group who would like to turn it into a restaurant but, some neighbors are in favor of it and some are not.  Hearings are progressing so we'll have to wait and see how it turns out.  Personally, I'm in favor of the idea.  We could use some more interesting dining experiences in our neighborhood.

  2. I didn't expect this lovely building when I looked at the picture from yesterday. I wonder why some of the neighbors wouldn't want it to be a restaurant. Any business will generate traffic and I would rather see it being used than sitting empty.

  3. This is definitely a surprise from yesterday's post! I hope the restaurant moves forward. I hate to see a building this lovely not being used.

  4. It's beautiful and big enough to accommodate a variety of uses. I'd vote for a restaurant. For some reason it reminds me of a real estate office. :-)

  6. I guess it depends on what street it's on and who the neighbors are. If there's homes right next store and on the street, a rat infested restaurant would not be desirable. If it's on a busy street next to other businesses, than bon appetite.

Looks like a great building for offices. I'd love to say that's my real estate building.

  10. I think they should too. At least the building will be cared for.

  11. I have the luxury of being 2500 miles away, so I don't have to have an opinion about how this building is used. I just hope it gets some kind of use before long. Abandoned buildings tempt the fates.

  12. It's a fabulous building Sharon, a restaurant would be good, but what about an art gallery or something along those lines, that might be good too. I would love to know what it was used for before, could it have been a private home?

  13. So many hearings are not progressing... there is hope and a restaurant seems to be a good solution, visually I mean.
