I've shown you a lot of the big cactus blooms that I find but, here is one that is small but, quite pretty.
The photo below gives you a better idea of what the cactus looks like. It's the one on the right side of the photo. In fact, if you look closely you can see a bloom on the bottom right.
I'm not positive but I believe this is a type of cholla (pronounced choy-a) cactus.
Such a promising prickly pear cactus!
