When I visited the village of San Gimignano in Italy, I got to see my first Antony Gormley "Iron Man" statue. I've seen many of them on various blogs but never saw one in person. This one was located on top of one of the towers of San Gimignano but, there were several at ground level too.
Looks like he's thinking about jumping. Don't do it.
ReplyDeletewonderful shot.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see first hand.
ReplyDeleteThis is a unique view of San Gimignano.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a photograph! I'm sure these must have some special significance but I've not heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteI love his work and was lucky enough to see 2 different installations last year in England. Great shot, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot.
ReplyDeleteExcellent composition, Sharon. Your trip must have been wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic sight! Great shot, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteFantastic angle you've taken on this one Sharon, looks so impressive. I always find it fascinating to see the most unlikely places you'd find plants growing.
ReplyDeletePretty cool! Haven't seen any yet. Well angled.
ReplyDeleteStriking! But you have to know that the flowers caught my eye.
ReplyDeleteA copy of himself, Anthony Gormley again.
ReplyDeleteHe must have earned a fortune out of it!!:)
We have several of the same here in Stavanger.
The composition of your image is great!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can understand people`s fascination of the art.
The same thing happened over here.
