Another entry from the Phoenix Art Museum's "Arts and Flowers" exhibit was this piece based on a bronze sculpture by Ed Mell called "Toro del Yermo". This floral artist has created an almost exact duplicate of the actual sculpture out of leaves. The actual sculpture isn't owned by the museum so I couldn't photograph it but, I think this one stands on it's own. If you want a peek at the Ed Mell sculpture,

Fantastic piece!

ReplyDeleteI've been intrigued by bulls and the fight since reading Hemmingway
ReplyDeleteThis is very creative! Both the sculpture and the floral arrangement are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI think when you can take an object such as leaves and turn it into a masterpiece like that --creativity takes a back seat to ingenuity
ReplyDeleteHa! I didn't even read Jararts comment! Very creative but highly ingenious!

ReplyDeleteBull of the desert? Or wasteland? Wonder what is behind this. It's a very interesting piece!

ReplyDeleteThat is really remarkable. I have seen lots of "arts and flowers" exhibitions, but the floral arrangements are usually much less literal than this one!
