Blue Tango

This is the bloom on a Blue Tango Bromeliad.  Bromeliads are a large family of tropical plants producing an amazing variety of blooms.  I learned that the pineapple is also a Bromeliad!

I've added a macro shot of one of the colorful blooms.

  11. Bromelia's blooms are also amazing, I have had a few blooming too. Next to bloom will be two of my Tillandsias (air plants) which, actually, are also bromeliads.
