Blue Tango
This is the bloom on a Blue Tango Bromeliad. Bromeliads are a large family of tropical plants producing an amazing variety of blooms. I learned that the pineapple is also a Bromeliad!
I've added a macro shot of one of the colorful blooms.
Bromelia's blooms are also amazing, I have had a few blooming too. Next to bloom will be two of my Tillandsias (air plants) which, actually, are also bromeliads.
Hi Sharon - Just trying to catch up with all my old blogging buddies that I have neglected for the past year. Took a whole year off from my photo blog, but I'm back now. Hope life has been good. Absolutely love love love the Blue Tango Bromeliad!

It seems quite unusual to see blue and red together like this on any bloom. It's quite attractive! And I learned something re pineapples!
