The wedding downtown
When I was roaming around downtown last Sunday late afternoon, I happened to pass this wedding party being arranged for photographs right in the middle of a street. I sat at a stop sign and watched as the photographer lined up the female half of the wedding party in a line right across the middle of the street. I apologize for the quality of this photo. I grabbed the camera and shot it right through the windshield. When I had to move on, I drove around the block in time to see the guys lined up the same way for their photo op. I really wish I could see those shots, they have to be very unique.

Hello, great pleasure to go through your beautiful space, I wanted to greet you this holiday season,
Happy Holidays!
a hug.
That's a good idea, it makes a change from the usual in front of town hall or on beach or... well you know the usual! Love the colour of the bridesmaids' dresses!
may the marriage be happy and lasting and when they look at their album of this day, may they remember only good times.
Must have been a colourful sight! Oh, the pleasures of blogging!!
I see they're still making bridesmaids dresses that you'd never be caught dead in in any other venue.
In the middle of the street?
"And how did you get arrested, sir?"
"Well, I was taking wedding pictures in the middle of the street and a truck ran over the bride!"
Sheesh! Great shot, though. So funny!
Is that wedding dress Lavender? maybe it's just the color setting on my computer--Wow, quite the sight!
It must have been fun for the Party too!
I love those blue bridesmaid dresses. How fun to be taking the wedding shots in the street.
Great candid 'on the spot' shot Sharon!
Ha! This made me think of the movie "Bridesmaids".
The first thing I thought of was how dirty the hem of the brides gown must have gotten dragging in the street.
I have worked in downtown Phoenix for decades, including far too many Sundays in the office. I have never seen a wedding party in the street.
Let's hope it lasts longer than 72 days!
How odd - I'd like to know the backstory for this one!
Beautifully caught...
Ummmm . . . why?
Susie is getting married next year. This is not a pose I will ask the photographer to replicate.
Great catch, Sharon.
What are the chances, great shot.
