State Fair in the backyard
One of our historic neighborhoods is adjacent to the state fair grounds so, at this time of year the entertainment seems to be right in their backyard.
I wonder how they like that...seems to me it would awful noisy day and night! But perhaps they make money by allowing people to park cars on their lawns?
Every little town in KC has fall festivals, lots of ferris wheels. I have never been able to capture a photo I liked though. I like how you've captured this, next time I will take a lesson from you.
I think every city has one of these now.
ReplyDeleteFerris wheels are almost as much fun as carousels ... not quite, but fun anyway.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, some of these neighbors earn a little extra money charging for parking. Do they still do that?
ReplyDeleteTempting for the neighborhood to throw the switch and go for a spin. :)
ReplyDeleteYou and Kathy both have Ferris wheels today! I guess I should have put mine in too.

ReplyDeleteLooks like it is their own private ferris wheel!
ReplyDeleteWe used to park there in the old days. It's that time of year for deep fried twinkies!

ReplyDeleteThis would be a little too close for comfort for me. Time to go away until the fair closes . . .
ReplyDeleteNothing like having a ferris wheel in your back yard. Or almost!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fun shot. Maybe not for the people living in the house.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how they sleep? And how much do they charge for parking? LOL. I want some Fry Bread!
ReplyDeleteNice photo - love the hour colors. I am going to try to photograph a ferris wheel at the State Fair this week. Wish me luck.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted!
