Here is another one of my industrial pattern shots taken at the "tank farm" I found on the west side of Phoenix. This one has a set of orange stairs heading in the opposite direction of the shot I posted last week. This tank was also facing a different direction so the sun didn't create quite as deep of shadows as in the last shot. I like both of these but I think I like the first shot (posted on 9/27) the best.
I did a little editing with this one too and came up with this pastel stairway.
Cannot imagine climbing all those steps!
ReplyDeleteAny of these shots would have taken first prize at last night's photog club's contest where the past month's theme was patterns.
ReplyDeleteLove the pastel. I may have to head to an industrial area soon.
ReplyDeleteI remember the previous stair shot and I like them both very much.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful patterns and composition, industrial areas offer a lot for photographers.
ReplyDeleteI love both of these. The difference in the angle of the sun also caused the shadows from the stairs in your photos today to be solid, whereas the sun shone through the stairs to create a patterned shadow in last week's photo.
ReplyDeleteNow I want to know what is in those tanks! The red stairs against the white make an interesting shot.
ReplyDeleteI think I like the first post of these stairs best too Sharon, although the pastel coloured image is pretty special.
ReplyDeleteThis is another fantastic shot. I like the first shot the most. Maybe because the shadows are longer and because there is a single light pole.
ReplyDeleteThe shadows on the first one are so great that it is hard to take a better shot. This one is really good though.
ReplyDeleteThese are superb. Great artistry. You could do a gallery showing - frame 'em and hang 'em!
ReplyDeleteNeat coloring in this second one. I like it.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder if the stairway to heaven is pastel colored.
ReplyDeleteinteresting shots. love architectural photos a lot!
ReplyDeleteA pastel staircase - how pretty!
ReplyDeleteThis one looks great.
ReplyDeleteSharon, I love this photo. First, non-edited one.
