Shade



When you live in the desert, shade is an essential key to survival.  This shaded pathway is on the grounds of the Royal Palms Resort.

  5. I think it was General Sherman, who was sent on an expedition across Arizona, and who sent a dispatch back to Washington reporting that in Arizona one us usually 4 miles from the nearest shade, 8 miles from the nearest water, and 6 feet from hell.

    He would be surprised to see scenes such as those you are showing from the Royal Palms.
