Since that time, a very active citizens committee has been working diligently to prepare the castle for tours. Very early Saturday morning, I went out again to review how the tour is envisioned in preparation for obtaining docents and training them. I was able to snap a few more photos. This one shows the castle with a plane taking off from Sky Harbor International Airport just passing overhead.

Love the shot. I know your pictures from last year showed the work to the interior of the building but from this picture it looks like the landscaping needs some work. Any plans in that direction?
ReplyDeleteGorgeous castle.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful image, Sharon. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteWithout the plane overhead, it has an other-worldly look about it.
ReplyDeleteHope it gets off the ground. Neat building.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking building, have tours started I see the top has changed
ReplyDeleteWow!! Your composition and angle are really good!! Plants and that plane give life to that castle, nice surrounding for a piece of history in these days.

The strange structure among the cacti, the plane above, all of this looks so unreal. Great shot, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteYou showed excellent dedication to get up so early on Saturday morning to train the docents after you were at our house on Friday evening.
ReplyDeleteThe Tovrea castle used to be located next to stockyards. I have never seen photos of the old stockyards in Phoenix, however.
It looks beautiful, perfect image!
ReplyDeletei can't wait for a tour
ReplyDeleteHow interesting. This is a great shot and I love the plane!
ReplyDeleteNice shot. The plane is just the lagniappe.
ReplyDeleteSuper shot! I agree, the combination of elements in this picture make a very unusual sight.
ReplyDeleteIt's a labor of love, I'm sure. What a beautiful clear sky that is.
ReplyDeletei love castles pics at all
ReplyDeleteGreat shot - such an unusual building!
ReplyDeleteI remember this. It seems completely un-Phoenix-like. Here is hoping that wither the city of the community group can get it going.
ReplyDeleteVery nice catch Sharon!
