I have seen quite a few like this, with the cherubs and quasi-realistic pieces jumbled together in a collage-like work. The top one is kind of nice, but if I had a spare $8,000 to spend on a piece of Chihuly glass, I would keep looking.
I'm playing catchup. I loved the mural on the wall. That is something Kathy just loves. The Chihuly glass is amazing! I hope you had a great time in Las Vegas.
i love the glazes in thoses pots/vases
ReplyDeleteThey are great, and the photos too!
ReplyDeleteInteresting but not my favorites. I am not big on the shell in the second piece.
ReplyDeleteThese are not what I would recognize as Chihuly's work.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time while there! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fantastic! And to think, you didn't expect Vegas would be much fun.
ReplyDeleteNot my favourites of his - they look a bit heavy too - wonder who is blowing these for him?
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the top one
ReplyDeleteI've never seen any Chihuly's pieces quite like these.

ReplyDeleteAmazing and very original! Is he changing his style? I'm not sure I would identifiy these as Chihuly's if I didn't already know they are.
