Here is another entry from the Arts & Flowers exhibit at the Phoenix Art Museum. This one represents a modern painting that is untitled but described as Men and Machines. The artist is Hugo Robus.
The floral arrangement was created by Wanda L Collins of Desert Designers Garden Club.

ReplyDeleteKind of a cool take on an art show. Art and machines---strange bedfellows. It works!
ReplyDeleteYes, it does work beautifully together. Creative and oh so attractive.
ReplyDeleteI love, love that! Fresh flowers and art paired together! We'll have the annual "Art in Bloom" here at the Minneapolis Institute of Art of a few weeks - it's the same thing!
ReplyDeleteThere is a painting in the Phoenix Art Museum that is a Victorian burst of flowers. I cannot remember the name of the painting or the artist. It would be a huge challenge to try to emulate that painting in a floral arrangement. I wonder if it is in the show.
ReplyDeleteVery nice. Lovely painting too.ba
ReplyDeleteThis is such an interesting and enjoyable take on an art show.
ReplyDeleteThose florists have to be so creative to make something that compliments the art work so well.
ReplyDeleteThere is modern art and there is modern art. I like this modern art. I also like that floral arrangement very much! And the little guy behind it! Looks like a terrific show.
ReplyDeleteThat was a challenging piece to try and emulate.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun show! Nice!
ReplyDeleteNow, this is the kind of thing I have seen before. Not trying to emulate the painting, like yesterday, but capture its colors and maybe its feeling. Nice.
