Yesterday I visited the new Musical Instrument Museum for the very first time. I must admit, I wasn’t expecting what I found. First of all, the museum is huge. When I left the house I expected to be gone for no more than three hours. I spent five hours there and could have stayed all day. It was an amazing experience.
I have heard nothing but good things about this museum. Even a recent news article about it on a major network. I'll have to get out there before I leave town.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that i was traveling and not able to check your post yesterday. Your posts yesterday and today showcase two new, significant additions to Phoenix very well. Yesterday's new Court Tower by the public sector and today's Musical Instrument Museum by the private sector.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of the money for the MIM came from Target, so I feel better about the money I have spent buying kitchen implements, waste baskets, and other household items at Target over the years.
wow I've never heard of this place. I can see why it would be so captivating.. man's musical ingenuity is so ancient and timeless
ReplyDeleteI had the same kind of experience here with our Bata Shoe Museum. I went just to see the building but found the exhibits fascinating. Nothing like a good museum!
ReplyDeleteThat is the great thing about living in a large city, lots to do and see. Glad you went and enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. I will be adding this to my to-do list.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to visit. I just love Cello music.
ReplyDeleteIt's worth a trip to Phoenix just to see this museum. Thanks for introducing us to it.
ReplyDeleteI missed this post also, so I'm starting here...and the first word that comes to mind is "incredible"! I can understand why you were there for five hours. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteHaving played the guitar and keyboards, I would love this, I'm sure.
