Pictures from Phoenix and sometimes from the surrounding cities that make up the "Valley of the Sun"
This is extraordinary. It really deserves to be enlarged to be appreciated more fully.
Dave is right. I'd recommend enlarging it twice to see detail on the wings.
He was posing for you! :-) Wonderful capture, Sharon.
Dragonflies have certainly found their popularity through photo bloggers recently. A great shot, no doubt through your new lens. It looks like you're having a lot of fun with it.
Awesome. I have tried all summer to get a dragon fly picture. How much did you pay him to hold still? :) I admire your patience.
I agree with JM he must have been posing. I can never seem to catch them because they just won't stay still. Great shot Sharon.
Crikey, that's a great shot! Did you use the 300mm lens to get that one?
Great shot of one of those little flying jewels!
Nice dragonfly, very big eyes. I have yet to catch one unawares, they always fly off just before I get close enough!
That's some fine macro work. Can't believe how sharp this is.
