Swallow

The swallows are nesting in southern Arizona.

This photo was taken on my recent road trip in southern Arizona in the town of Tubac near the border with Mexico.

  2. Wonderful shot! There was a nest above the door of my parents' house and the swallows always came back to it.

  4. These are pretty birds and fantastic fliers. My brother and sister-in-law who live in Tucson, spend every 4th of July in Tubac. It's such a beautiful place.

  5. Capistrano must be lonely.

We have several bird nests in our awnings at our house in Scottsdale/paradise Valley. We have not been able to open the awnings all year, as Julie does not want to disturb the birds.

  6. This is a great shot. I wonder what is inside that big nest.

To answer your comment on my post today, yes, I have gone dancing at the Wagon Wheel Inn many times. So many in fact that the bartender slipped the ashtray into my purse one night so that I would have a momento.

  7. This is a great shot, Sharon. It looks like you didn't even bother her as she seems to be busy with her brood.

  8. That's quite a nest...I'll bet it took a lot of work and effort. We had some birds at our Ocala house that would build decoy nests...very clever...they were trying to fool the bluejays and cardinals, I think.
