Pueblo Style
The landscaping around this pueblo-style home is quite dramatic. The fountain to the right was attracting birds and the flowers along the front are a nice touch. I wouldn’t be surprised if the owner was a landscape architect.
In addition to the creative landscaping, my guess is that the pueblo style of the house is a remodel that added the facade to a traditional ranch house. The high parapet above the windows is probably intended to conceal the original sloped roof. Moreover, the house has a one car garage. That is a sign of an older home in Phoenix

ReplyDeleteSomeone loves their home very much. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThis is charming and the kind of homes I think about when I think about the SW - not the cookie cutter homes that most of us live in.
ReplyDeleteYes, someone does take pride - and time - in their household appearance. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteSharon, do ever get grief from residents for taking photos of their houses/landscape?
Brenda, no I haven't had any complaints yet.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very appealing house. Can't imagine why someone would object to your snapping a photo, but one never knows!
