I'm so glad brattcat suggested a female cardinal. That is what I was thinking, but I wasn't sure.
What a rare sight!
It is good to see cardinals in Arizona, since we have a football team named the Cardinals.
I'm thinking Cardinal as well. The bill looked so large! But, my Sibley's book says " Southwest populations of Northern Cardinal (mainly Arizona) have a large bill ... and longer and bushier crest"

I thought all cardinals were red, maybe this is a youngster or a female, but I'm just guessing...
