Beware of thorns

Birds like to eat the fruit that grows on the top of some cactus, but they have to be very careful of the thorns that are longer than they are wide. I've watched them and they make it look easy.

  3. This is a Curved Bill Thrasher and he is such a clown in the yard. I don't understand how they work their way around the thorns either. Another great shot!

  7. Clever that the birds figured out how to not get stabbed by the cacti.
