First, let me apologize for the quality of this picture, but I couldn’t resist posting this photo of a real javelina after yesterday’s art subject. The fact is, I just saw this little guy Thursday night on my way to dinner.
Let me explain. Thursday I arrived at The Boulder’s Resort in Carefree Arizona, a small community just north of Scottsdale to attend a work related meeting. I was on my way to dinner that evening when we spotted a group of javelina grazing on the edge of the golf course. All I had with me at the time was my little point and shoot camera and I’m afraid that in the low light, it was having a hard time determining where to focus. Too top that off, I was really excited to see my first javelina in the wild!
The Boulder’s Resort is an amazing place. I’ll post a few more photos from my stay there over the next few days.
Wow, I've never seen one, nor had I ever heard the name. From a distance it looks a little like a boar.
ReplyDeleteWe had friends from Tucson, Arizona here yesterday and we were just talking about the Javelinas. And how they used to be everywhere there and she told us they still are. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have the issue of "breast feeding" on my main blog today Pick a Peck of Pixels

ReplyDeleteA point-and-shoot, don't leave home without one.

ReplyDeleteThat's fun, an artsy one and a real one. You were lucky to see it.
ReplyDeleteMy husband talks about the Texas wild hogs all the time, I hope you didn't get too close!
