Over the past weekend I was sitting at the car wash waiting for my car to be finished when something made me think of that old Jim Croce song “Workin’ At The Car Wash Blues”. The next thing I knew, I was outside snapping a photo for Phoenix Daily Photo.
I wonder how many of my readers have ever heard of Jim Croce, an American singer/songwriter who recorded at least 4 albums that soared to the top of music charts in the late 60’s and early 70’s. His skyrocketing career was cut tragically short by a plane crash in September of 1973.
I never heard of Jim Croce and as I looked at this photo my first thought was about refering the post title to the colour of tents :)
ReplyDeleteCroche was amazing.
ReplyDeleteOk, now that song is going to be stuck in my head all day.
ReplyDeleteJim Croce's music a continuing legacy. We also have had dinner years ago at a restaurant in downtown San Diego that I believe is owned by his widow. I hope it is still doing well.
ReplyDeleteSure, I know Jim Croce. His legacy lives on.
ReplyDeleteOh, did you bring back old memories...yes, Jim Croce...his music was so good!
