On Friday night when I went to the Desert Botanical Garden’s “Agave on the Rocks” event, I went with my friends Julie and Dave. Julie has the
Scottsdale Daily Photo blog and has published many of her Chihuly pictures on her site. While we were there, I was able to get a couple of shots of Julie working her magic with her camera.
In the photo above, she’s working with a difficult subject because it’s made with neon tubing. I happen to know she got some fabulous shots all around the park that night. We might be seeing some of them on her site in the future.
Nice to see Julie! :-) Great capture indeed!
ReplyDeleteSharon,
ReplyDeleteYou neglected to explain that because Julie grew up in Arizona, she wears a heavy jackt, scarf and gloves whenever the temperature is below 65 (18 C.).
yes, I am always cold when I go out at night and dress accordingly as the desert is chilly at night. Tomorrow you shall see whether the efforts of photographing this Chihuly pays off for Yellow Theme Day!
ReplyDeleteI found that piece to be difficult to photograph but I like this one with Julie and camera!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you and Julie were buds.
ReplyDeleteGreat catch, Sharon. Am I the only person in Phoenix who hasn't seen this exhibit yet? :)
ReplyDeleteNice one!
ReplyDeleteSharon shoots the shooter. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteLove the insider view - hi Julie!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you and Julie got together! Nice to see her in action!
