When driving around in an area of Phoenix known as the “arts district”, I came across this abandoned building with some rather garish and somewhat earthy artwork on its exterior. I have no idea what used to be located here but, my guess is that it served as an artist studio at one time.
Oh my! I guess you might call it art. Strange art.
ReplyDeleteAh, is it art?! Well it's got us thinking and talking and it's decorative. I quite like it. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteYikes!!
ReplyDeleteI guess topless piano bars aren't as popular as they once were.
Not that I have any personal knowledge mind you.
Or...it could have been a strip club? I think. Maybe. I really wouldn't know, though.
ReplyDeleteThis was one of the last post on my Phoenix blog before we moved. The only thing this building had on it at the time was the piano.
ReplyDeleteWell this would certainly make a day at work more interesting! It's wonderfully quirky!
ReplyDeleteI say it was once an artist's studio. Then it went bust.
ReplyDelete:-)
Oh Luarie, you made me laugh out loud.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I'm sure someone considers it to be fine art.
ReplyDeleteLaurie,that's funny.
ReplyDeleteRandy, love to see your picture. Do you still have it?
I wonder if the domes where on the building before the artwork?
A great daily photo makes you ask these types of questions.
My first thought was like Jacob's - maybe a strip club? unusual to say the least!
