Earlier this month I posted a photo from the Town & Country Shopping Center. As I said before, the fate of this center is up in the air but, for now it still hosts a number of shops. I thought I’d post another picture from the interior core of the center. You can see the brick walkway and the lush, mature trees that make this place such a comfortable pedestrian place.
Just needs a few cafes with outdoor tables to enjoy the space.
ReplyDeleteNice area for a relaxing day! Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeletehaven't been there in ages. Last time I went I ate at the deli. I felt like I was back east.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great thanksgiving.
A very pleasant place! I hope you're having a great Thanksgiving just now!
ReplyDeleteThis photo reminds me of the shopping center in Aspen, except the trees are aspens there, of course.
ReplyDeleteI like thi sopen space, perfect to enjoy the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteIt's sad to be reminded of how much potential is wasted at T&C. It used to be the middle class alternative to Biltmore Fashion Park with plenty of shade, independent stores, and a vibrant pulse. Now, the appeal is limited to Trader Joe's and a few resale shops on the north side. Of couse, Linens & Things, a sign of the recent "chaining" of T&C is now liquidating.
ReplyDeleteThe long-term plan is for vertical development at this site. Ultimately, I think that would be a better use of the prime land there, but I hope the developers will include some sort of shaded plaza as an homage to the T&C I remember.
