I see lots of these small sunflowers growing at the Desert Botanical Garden. They tend to be scattered among the wildflowers.
In the Phoenix area, we see more of these small ones than any other kind.
However, every now and then I'll see one of these jumbo sized sunflowers. I saw this one at a local plant nursery. No matter what size they are, they always catch my eye. They make a good photography subject.
I do like sunflowers but sadly I didn’t plant them this year

Sunflowers are one of my favorites! Your last photo with the sun illuminating the flower from behind is beautiful.

ReplyDeleteRegardless of size, they are beautiful! I see the small ones in my local hills in Orange County. Sometimes out at the desert too, but not as often.
