Flat Top

This unusually shaped tree caught my eye recently and I had to turn around and go back to get a photo.  It's so full of green across it's width but I wonder what happened to it's top.  It almost looks like someone shaped it so it would grow this way.  I know that trees come in all shapes and sizes, I've just never seen one shaped quite like this before.

Creates a lot of shade for a compact tree. I like it.

The divi divi trees in Aruba look like that. They always point to the southwest due to the trade winds that blow across the island.

Perhaps it's been prunned into that shape?

I agree, it looks like it's been pruned to grow that way, maybe to provide more shade? It's pretty cool looking! (Literally)
