Gables tend to make a house look more interesting or give it some style. A good place to find these elaborate gables is in our historic neighborhoods. That's where I found these two examples recently.
I love driving around in the historic neighborhoods. I always find something interesting to admire.

My reaction was those are the same floor plan, with minor variation in elevations. The floor plan for my first house in Florida has 10 elevations options, I picked the one that looked like Taco Bell.
They certainly do look quite similar in design, Sharon. The gables do give them a more interesting look.
I love driving through historic neighborhoods - so much charm and personality. No cookie cutter subdivisions.
Oh wow! The structure looks so beautiful and the design of the house is basic yet classy. I really like capturing such neighbourhoods.
