The last time I was at the Desert Botanical Garden, I spotted these two quail walking along the edge of the reflecting pool in the contemplation garden. The one on the right appears to have spotted me pointing my camera in his direction.
He must have told his friend who glanced my way and then the two of them jumped down from the edge and ran for cover. "Really fellows, I'm perfectly harmless".
