Last Saturday afternoon, I went to the Desert Botanical Garden to see the activities around the "Guelaguetza" event. As far as I know, this was the first year the garden celebrated this cultural event from Oaxaca Mexico.
There was lots of music and dancing and happy people.
And, there was lots and lots of colorful costumes. It was fun to watch!

I have never heard of the Guelaguetza before. Looking at the colourful clothing is a beautiful sight to see. I wish I were there.
Looks fun and colorful! I've never heard of that particular event, at least not that I can remember.
I would enjoy that festival very much!
Colorful it is.
Very colourful attire.

Everyone looks so happy, Sharon.
Plenty of colour and plenty of fun. I love the decorated braids in the woman's hair.
Love the clothes, and the braids are amazing.
Wonderful candid shots!
