What is it?

I took these photos a month ago on one of my walks at the Desert Botanical Garden.  I snapped a couple of photos of something new that had been installed over the hot summer.

Here is a different view.  However the first photo is my favorite.  So what do you think it is?

It's a new cover over a seating area that happens to be located at the highest point in the garden.  After climbing the trail up to this point, a place to sit in the shade is aways welcome.  This seating area used to be covered with natural materials like the spines of cactus.  Sometime over the summer, this new cover of steel tubing replaced the natural materials.  These will last much longer under our fiery hot sun.

Those first few shots look like news photos from a military parade. :-)

Nice abstract image, I know what it is, but I don't really know what it is. I like that.

I'd have had no idea.

I was thinking it was a supply of steel tubing. ;-) That is a good use for it, Sharon!

Those first two photos are great! I was going to guess it was a mist sprayer, but I guess it's just a sun shade? Still, it looks nice.

I had no idea either but I love those first two photos.

The desert gardens are always so lovely. They're just beautifully planted.

Seems to blend into the desert landscape.
