View From the Top of My Street

The street I live on runs north and south with the north running uphill to the base of the mountains of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.  There is a spot at the top of the hill where the street ends that gives me good views over the Arizona Biltmore Golf Course and all the way into the downtown high-rise buildings.  I was surprised to see those crazy golfers down there.  The temperature was around 110 degrees when I took this. I can't imagine running around a golf course in that kind of heat.  At least social distancing won't be a problem.  They won't run into many other golfers.

I zoomed in a bit to capture some of those buildings in the distance.  The ones in the foreground are not too far away and are part of the Camelback Corridor area but the ones in the background go all the way to downtown.  The heat was causing quite a bit of haze that cloaks the mountains south of town.

That's a super view Sharon. Can you imagine my hubby plays golf in anything from 39C in summer to 12C this morning in winter 😀 Keen golfers really are a wee bit nuts 😀

Some people don't mind the heat they have to play golf! Until they drop down...

I have never been there in the peak of summer, but there is something about that landscape that makes me feel at home.

Your shots are clear for such a hot day. I hope those golfers have a lot of cool water with them.
