This is a fairly recent acquisition at the Phoenix Art Museum. It's a sculpture called "Heech" by Parviz Tanavoli and Iranian artist. Tanavoli is considered the father of Iranian modern sculpture. He lives in Canada part time and Iran part time but, at one time he taught sculpture at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
This piece is located in the lobby of museum.

A swinging sculpture!
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Would probably have to see it in real life.
I like this piece.
Interesting! It seems to employ Persian or Muslim motifs -- reminds me of Arabic lettering. Or maybe that's just my imagination?
I feel there could be quite a bit of symbolic meaning to this sculpture Sharon ✨ Happy weekend.
Interesting sculpture, too bad there is not more information about it. Maybe you just experience it.
