Carefree Arizona is part of what is called the Phoenix Metro Area. It's located north of Scottsdale. The landscape in the area is full of huge boulders and many of the houses in Carefree are nestled between or on top of the rocks.
There are a lot of big homes out this way and the surrounding rocks make them very attractive.

That looks special. The houses are almost hidden between the rocks or are part of the mountain.
Excellent photography. It must be a challenge to construct housing in terrain like this.
It does not look like they are built in a safe place. : )

What an interesting challenge for the architects, to work the structures in among those rocks!
I do like these.
The houses blend in with the enviroment and I like that.
