Serious Southwestern Art Collector
My "theatre" group met before the show last Sunday night at the home of a new member to the group and she happens to be quite a collector of southwestern and Native American art. Behind the sofa is a wonderful painting by Dan Namingha, one of my favorite Native American artists. I love that painting.
Across the room and over the fireplace was another Namingha painting and two beautiful Kachinas.
In another room was this wonderful painting along with some beautiful woven baskets. The house was full of fabulous art. After getting permission, I took lots of pictures and I'll share some more over the week.
A few words about "Hamilton".....fabulous, brilliant, inspiring! I wasn't really sure I'd enjoy it because I'm not a fan of most rap music. However, this was so exquisitely done that I loved every minute of it. In fact, I'm about to purchase the music!

What a great collector she is. Love this art, so colourful, thanks for sharing.
What a stunning collection in a fabulous apartment!
Fabulous!
My favorite pieces of art are the kachinas and the howling wolf. The owners of that house must be serious about their hobby of collecting southwestern and Native American art.
Interesting to see your Hamilton comment. I feel the same as you as Rap is not my thing. So I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it.
What beautiful art and so wonderfully displayed! Glad you enjoyed "Hamilton". I would love to see it myself.
Gosh what a fabulous collection Sharon, her house is like an art gallery! I knew you would enjoy Hamilton, I don't think I've heard anyone say anything bad about it.. oh yes except Mike Pence and #45 ππππ
Beautiful artworks!
You were so lucky to visit this home and see this wonderful collection, Sharon!
The artwork is absolutely beautiful. I love those kachinas and the howling wolf.
Beautiful art! I'm glad you enjoyed "Hamilton".
Lovely! I'm getting my first serious Kachina this month; a white cloud one that I think is gorgeous!
What a beautiful wolf!
What a glorious place to visit!
Amazing colors. It's a beautiful house. And I'm glad you liked "Hamilton" -- I still haven't seen it!
Her art really fits her environment, doesn't it?
I haven't seen Hamilton yet. MUST get to it.
