October I posted some photos of a few of the Jun Kaneko sculptures that are currently scattered all around the Desert Botanical Garden. I only posted the Heads and the Raccoon Dogs (Tanuki). I didn't show you this group of colorful shapes.. The name for these shapes is "Dango" which in Japanese means "dumpling". I like the whimsical way they are painted, especially those with the stripes and dots.

They are cute and I think "whimsical" is the perfect way to describe them.
I likde the bright colours and original shapes.
Very colourful dangos. Cute. :)
Fun!
Peculiar, but colorful and fun and somehow very Japanese.
Love these colourfully patterned 'dumplings' Sharon, although dumplings didn't really jump into my head when I saw them 😀
Brightly colourful! They are eye catching.
Colorful and fun !
Darling dumplings!
These are wonderful, Sharon! Exactly my taste! I like that perforated metal structure in the background too!
I like the vibrant colours and the shapes. Dumplings are very cool.
It must bring joy to all visitors.
The sculpture on the right is the most eye catching.
