At the Heard Museum's Mercado de las Artes, this lady was demonstrating her talent for weaving.
Some of her beautiful textiles were hanging nearby.
Another artist had this beautifully crafted vase for sale. What a perfect face on that wolf!
And this young lady was enjoying her lunch and her colorful new headband and flower.

Wow! so so colourful and detailed! The wolf face is incredible too!
It is so great to see these artisans at work ... there aren't many left these days. Perhaps the mercado will inspire others to take up weaving or painting, or ... I agree with you about the wolf - look especially at the eyes - he's looking deep into your soul!
Love that vase. Did you buy it for me? LOL
Amazing craftwork! Artistry, really. Definitely much better than I could do. :)
Were you tempted Sharon? I think I would have been, the textiles are too gorgeous, would suit our hot summer coming up perfectly 😊
Those textiles are amazing, Sharon!
So much talent. The colors are amazing!
That first picture reminds me of a lady who used to sit and weave that way outside of a hotel/bar/restaurant in Ajijic when we first moved to Mexico.
Oh, those white, white legs in the top photo.
I couldn't live with that wolf in my home, but I'm a city boy.
That vase really appeals to me!
Your photograph of the weaver is excellent. Makes us feel we are there. And . . . the work in that wolf head is simply dazzling, isn't it?
I love those beautiful and colorful textiles !
