I took this shot on election night 2014 while I was waiting for the results of the Governor's race. This is a team of reporters from my favorite radio station KJZZ, our local National Public Radio station. They were there along with representatives from all the local news stations and papers. Pretty soon there will be another one of these election night events somewhere in downtown Phoenix.

When I worked in journalism, radio was a notoriously low-paid field. I wonder if that's still the case? Probably not for NPR stations, which are the cream of the crop when it comes to quality!
I almost dread election day. The campaign has been discouraging for me.
I've done an election here from the point of view of polling station staff. It's enlightening as to what goes into the process- and why there do seem to be quite a few staffers at any given location.
Your American election is going to be a scary time for the rest of the world.
I think we're going to be OK here, but it's a frightening time. I'm another one who will be very happy when it's all over.
