All About the Architecture

I posted a photo of this building way back in 2009 but I think it's due for an update.  This is Banner Good Samaritan Hospital.  It's a very striking building that certainly draws your attention.  It was designed by Bertrand Goldberg, the same guy who designed the famous Marina Towers in Chicago.

Doesn't look like a hospital in my eyes, but I like the design and your photo !

Wacky architecture for a hospital but pretty cool design!

It is striking yet too symmetrical to me to be very interesting. Different tastes!

Kind of nautical -- I like it!

I like the fact that it has no sharp corners. It's all smooth looking and rounded. That makes it different from most large buildings.

It stands out quite well.

It would be interesting to see how the rooms look with those oval windows!

I think it would be better sited if there was an ocean to look at through those porthole windows!

Ok, I get it with the rounded shapes. Gives the building a bit of an organic feel.

Hmmmm. Not for me, I fear.

It's got clean lines and looks substantial...both good features for a hospital.
