More Inside the Library
There is a special room inside the Phoenix Main Library that can be scheduled for meetings or for educational purposes. I'm not sure what books are in there but I do recognize that old printing press through the glass wall that surrounds the room.
Another area that is sectioned off is The Arizona Room with books all about Arizona and the state's history. Notice that collection of Soleri bells hanging outside the room. Those are big ones.
I took this shot of the stairs standing just outside that room in the top photo. In addition to these stairs, there are also three elevators with glass walls that go to all four floors of the library. It is an interesting place.

This is a state of the art library with wonderful reminders of the past and the history of the State. Wonderful photos, Sharon!
You have a really excellent library here Sharon. These days libraries have to be multi purpose to survive don't you think.
What a very modern and exquisite place! I'm impressed. Love that old printing press. Printing changed the world back in the Middle Ages and has changed it again in the past 40 years.
That is an impressive library. The printing press reminded me of the sounds that used to come from the printing press across the street when we were kids. Do you remember?
I'm reminded of the campus library at my university.
It looks like one could spend a lot of time in that building, Sharon!
Very modern. Or is that neo-modern?
Great library, love the press
I like all the clear walls and open spaces.
