Scottsdale Waterfront
One of my readers asked about the Scottsdale Waterfront that I mentioned in a previous post so I thought I'd feature that area in a few posts. There is a canal that runs through this area of Scottsdale and the city has made use of that canal as a feature for people to enjoy. There are high-rise condominiums that look over the water.
The canal itself is used for all kinds of artistic displays. This is what is appearing on the water right now. I imagine there are lights on these so they light up at night. There usually are.
Toward the other end of the canal, these artistic fixtures are floating on the water. Again, I'm guessing they light up at night. I really need to get over there in the evening to check it out. Back in the distance on this shot you can see the tall tubes that are featured in the Paolo Soleri bridge that I've shown before on this blog here and here.

Wow! It looks very beautiful...
Any kind of "water feature" is always something for a city to play up!
A very novel way to display art.
Impressive sight. I am standing by for your night photography.
A waterfront! Well, that's surprising for Arizona!
In both cases, these are unusual installations.
I like these artistic displays, Sharon.
Lucky are the people who live above the Waterfront....
Thanks for the clarification.
Strange things floating... :-)
The reflections at night must be wonderful, Sharon!
Unusual and very interesting water features but Im sure they make for a very special night time spectacle.
Altogether its a lovely area.
Water amenities are terrific for cities. I imagine that, in such a hot and dry place, the canal in Scottsdale is very popular.
