Snow - Phoenix Style

In Phoenix, we don't get the cold wet stuff that piles up everywhere but, at this time of year the flowering pear trees send their own bounty of white flakes to the ground.

As the blooms on these gorgeous trees start to fall, the white petals pile up on the ground making lots of patches of white.  These trees are so gorgeous when they bloom but about two weeks of that flowering beauty is all we get.

I know they can be a hassle to clean up (though most of them just disappear anyway), but they are a gorgeous sight. Especially on sidewalks.

We have these flowering trees, too, and I think they are the cat's meow! Ours aren't blooming yet, though. They smell good, too!

That's my kind of snow!

Very pretty and I agree with VP. We have lots of white dogwoods here and when they bloom, my grandkids call them snow trees.

When I saw the first shot Sharon I thought it was hail stones! Flower petals are much better.. and prettier :)
