I pointed my camera up on Camelback Mountain to get a look at a house that was under construction. Then I noticed the house below it and it appeared there were a lot of people there.
So I extended the telephoto out even further and found out I had just crashed someone's pool party. I think I'm far enough away that nobody minds!
The theme for City Daily Photo bloggers on February 1 is
"A Scene from a Cafe or Coffee House.”

What a mass of windows.
I love all those big windows!
It looks like everyone has clothes on, at least!
My initial reaction was the same as Steve's. I recall a pool party held in our honour in Leon, France, years ago. When our car pulled up, all the topless ladies fled inside like butterflies to put on the tops of their bathing suits. I guess that they thought it would be too much for the "puritanical Americans" to handle! Beautiful house!
So much glass!
I'd be surprised if you were noticed.
Paparazza!!!! I imagine they must have a wonderful view (and a window cleaner...)
Okay, now you've gone and done it! I've contacted my contacts in Hollywood and they are all excited about a new project for you - it's a reality show called "Arizona Party Crashers," and they want you to play the lead with your camera.
Congratulations!
For further details on this and other nonsense, contact D. Trump.
They were too busy enjoying themselves to notice, Sharon!
My gosh, is that really somebody's home?
If you are rich enough to have a home on Camelback Mountain with a pool, there is always room for one more.
I can't get over the size of that house. Huge open spaces. I am fearful that beautiful Camelback Mountain is not how it looked 15 years ago when I last saw it unobstructed.
Haha! That's the beauty of the long lens :) What a wonderful position the house has on the hill Sharon, good views I bet!
How many times have we taken photos like your first and not even noticed what was going on until we put it on the computer and discovered a surprise like your party.
