Winter Butterfly
When I was downtown on Friday, I took the opportunity to take a few photos to fill up the archives and while I was walking around I spotted butterflies enjoying a small garden near Phoenix City Hall. I managed to capture of photo of this one but, I saw three all-together. I must say, I wasn't expecting to find butterflies in the downtown area. It was a very pleasant surprise.
I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. I reprise the Chicago skyline as night falls over the city.

Great shot! It makes me miss butterflies, because of course we have NONE at this time of year. I love the lantana flower, too.
A real beauty!
Nice light on this one - I love the transparency of the flutter by!
What a stunning image!

A springtime find in the middle of winter!
It's a little lovely Sharon, and how good are you to spot it, pretty well camouflaged there amongst the foliage. Nothing gets by we bloggers :)
That's a pretty one!
A yellow butterfly and a red flower, a great combination, couldn't be better!
It's beautiful, Sharon! Nice catch.
Beautiful colours! We won't see butterflies for months.
I love the light in the wings.
A pure mustard colored butterfly. I don't remember having seen one like that.
Very good eye. I would probably have taken it for an old leaf.
