Fire in the sky

Thursday evening when I was making one more run between the old house and the new house, I happened to catch another fiery sunset.  This one was so dramatic that I pulled into a parking lot to snap a few photos.  As I was taking the photos I heard the unmistakable honking of a flock of geese flying over and I just barely caught them in the upper left corner of the above photo.

I love these dramatic sunsets that we've been getting lately.  Too bad I wasn't somewhere clear of power lines and street lights to capture this one.

Some dramatic skies, even with the urban clutter in the foreground. In fact I quite like the contrast between the two.

Fire in the sky is the best way to describe this beautiful scene. Don't worry about the street lights and power lines. In my opinion they add to the photo.

Wow. I missed the sunset on Thursday. I was in a hotel room in Yuma watching my Cardinals bet eliminated from the baseball playoffs.

I hope your move is going well. We need to get together.

Fantastic! I have been drawn outside every evening by the changing sky color. These clouds are really giving us a show.

Sometimes the powerlines just have to get in their 'shots'. Say cheese, powerlines.
